On April 24 we held our special commemorative ANZAC Day Assembly where our College community reflected on this national day of remembrance that honours Australians and New Zealanders who have served and died in wars and peacekeeping operations. ANZAC Day is also an opportunity to remember those who continue to serve in many parts of the world.
Thank you to our students and staff who took part in the Roll of Honour, and thank you to our families and special guests for attending this important event.
Special thanks to Mr Michael Walburn, Ex Australian Regular Army for delivering a moving speech to our college community.
On ANZAC Day our College Captains and staff joined local schools and community groups to march along Old Cleveland Road to Camp Hill State Infants and Primary School where a Public Meeting was held to observe the 109th anniversary of ANZAC Day.
It was an honour for our College Captains to lay a wreath on behalf of the Whites Hill State College community.
'Lest we forget'.
