WHSC Excellence Programs
School sport
Students are divided into 3 houses - Cunningham, Mitchell and Oxley.
There are 3 inter-house carnivals each year - swimming, cross country and athletics.
South District Sport
Whites Hill State College is part of South District. Students wishing to be selected in representative sporting teams nominate to attend South District trials.
Metropolitan East Region
Students who are selected in South District teams then compete at the Metropolitan East trials. Students selected in Metropolitan East teams compete at Queensland state titles.
Primary sport
All Primary students participate in weekly HPE lessons where they learn and develop skills in various sports including swimming and water safety skills.
Year 4-6 Primary students compete against other schools in our district at Sports Gala Days where students participate in sports such as: T-ball, Soccer, Cricket, Touch Football etc. Students receive weekly coaching leading up to the competitions.
Secondary sport
Tuesday: Years 7-9 | Wednesday: Years 10-12
Students participate in a sport or club every week with activities such as: Table Tennis, eSports, Media, Environment, Tennis, Badminton and more on offer in addition to Inter-school sport opportunities.
Inter-school sport
Secondary inter-school sport takes place during school time on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Students compete against other schools in the following sports:

Active participation in sport is encouraged at WHSC. Sport benefits the students’ physical well-being and helps develop their social skills through team sports.
