WILL CASH MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT
The day was stunning, with an electric atmosphere and warm sunshine. It began with an opening ceremony with a traditional Aboriginal dance and a traditional Maori Haka.
Our two WHSC teams performed strongly with our Junior team finishing second on the leader board and our Senior team making it to the grand final and finishing runner-up. For a school competing for the first time at the tournament, we have shown everyone that WHSC has a competitive, strong, determined and supportive group of athletes. Next year we will return with even more vigour to take part in this significant day.
One of our students, Matthew won the 'Most Valued Player' of all six schools in the Junior Competition. Congratulations Matthew!
Mrs Stan and other Education Queensland staff came home with a victory in a fun Oz Tag game against the Queensland Police Service that attended in support of one of their own the late Will Cash.
