Our world needs leaders. As part of the International, Global Schools Challenge, Whites Hill State College was invited to be a guest speaker and present to students from Queensland Government Schools, as well as students in Japan, China and South East Asia. Miss Alexandra Cochran, Culture and Engagement Coordinator – Senior Years, gave the filmed presentation in the AALC, and explored the notion of creating young leaders for tomorrow's world.
The presentation outlined what we do at WHSC to encourage our leaders to engage in College Life, connect with the community and essentially to be the voice in creating a sustainable future. The presentation was held virtually on 6 March as part of Education Queensland International's online project-based learning. The project encourages the development of globally minded students. It was an honour for our school to be invited to take part in this engaging project.
