Whites Hill State College offers a Student Resource Scheme (SRS) for all students.
The SRS provides families with a convenient and cost-effective way to access the educational resources students need for learning. It also helps ensure students have access to a consistent standard of resources across the College.
The scheme operates in accordance with Queensland Department of Education policy and guidelines and was endorsed by the school's P&C Association at its meeting on 3 September 2026.
2027 SRS fees
The annual SRS fees for 2027 are:
- Prep to Year 6: $160
- Year 7 to Year 9: $310
- Year 10 to Year 12: $360
For secondary students, these fees include the Textbook and Resource Allowance (TRA), which has been applied to reduce the amount payable by parents and carers.
Mid-year enrolments are charged on a pro rata basis.
Students are considered participants in the scheme once payment has been made or an approved payment plan has commenced for 2027.
Primary Back to School Boost
For primary students, the 2027 Back to School Boost payment is $150.
Families may choose to allocate this payment to their child's Student Resource Scheme account. This is not applied automatically, as parents and carers may wish to use the payment for other school-related expenses.
Please note that the Back to School Boost payment is not expected to be received by school accounts until mid-February 2027.
If a family chooses through the online parent consent process to allocate the Back to School Boost to their child's SRS, the student will be considered financial in the scheme before the credit is received from the department.
French Bilingual Program (FBP) fee
Students enrolled in the French Bilingual Program (FBP) are charged an additional $20 annual fee. This fee applies regardless of year level and is charged separately to the SRS.
The fee helps cover additional resourcing costs associated with the programme, including delivery and related charges.
Resource inclusion lists
Families should open the resource inclusion list for their child's relevant year level to see what is included in the Student Resource Scheme, and what they will need to provide if they choose to opt out of the scheme.
If a family chooses not to participate in the SRS, they are responsible for supplying the required resources for their child by the start of the school year.
Additional costs
The SRS does not cover all school-related expenses. Some items not included in the SRS may include:
- excursions and camps
- interschool sport
- Instrumental Music
- external course fees
- uniforms and personal stationery
Families should also refer to the 2027 Estimated Schedule of Costs attachment for other potential costs that may apply during the year.
