Our Year 1 Habitat Heroes explored Moreton Bay searching for life. Our scientific investigations took us across the intertidal zone in search of crabs and gastropods including the dogwhelk that drills through shells to devour their prey. Drifting on Moreton Bay on-board the Inspiration, the Habitat Heroes touched the bottom of the bay without getting wet. You’ll have to ask us to find out how! We then used a high-powered microscope to discover the creatures that live in the sea floor. We said goodbye to the blue skies while travelling cruise-speed back to Manly. Thank you to the Moreton Bay Environmental Education Centre staff for a fantastic adventure.
